About

Hi, I'm Bohdan — a software engineer with a rocket-engineering background. These days I'm obsessed with one question: how far will we — engineers and non-engineers alike — get with AI?

I started out in rocket propulsion, moved into IT, and spent years building backend architecture and leading engineering teams. The further I went, the clearer it became: the interesting part was never the code itself — it was what technology lets people do.

Now I go all-in on practical AI. I build AI harnesses — carefully tuned setups of coding agents like opencode — generate videos, automate my own workflow, and try to utilize AI in literally everything I do. Build with AI, not just chat with it.

We live in the fastest-paced era ever: things that used to take years now happen in months. My goal is to share my daily experience of building with AI — what I build, how I build it, how useful it is, and how excited I am about all of it. Pet projects, ideas, experiments — for anyone interested, engineers and non-engineers alike.

What I do

Building with AI

AI is a power tool, not a chatbot. Agent harnesses for coding, AI-assisted development, video generation, and automating everything that can be automated.

Omarchy & the terminal

I recently switched my whole setup to Omarchy — a minimal, keyboard-driven Linux desktop. Fast, scriptable, nothing in the way.

Sharing & teaching

I share my pet projects, ideas, and experiments — and teach anyone curious: engineers and non-engineers alike. I’ve taught Python, mentored developers, and now I teach AI tools.

Software development

The day job: building user-facing AI features on scale with Python, Pydantic AI, OpenAI SDK — plus backend: Django, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker.

Now

Living in Omarchy, building AI harnesses, recording short videos about AI, exploring new tools, and writing guides for this site.

Experience

Software Engineer

2025 — present
  • AI is the core of my day job here — not only as a tool for writing code, but as a product we build ourselves.
  • We create user-facing AI features on scale, for millions of users: Python, Pydantic AI, OpenAI SDK, and a lot of other tools.
  • LLM inference, evals, and best practices for shipping reliable AI features in production.

Solutions Architect & Team Lead

2016 — 2025
  • 9+ years, from intern to Solutions Architect. Backend architecture for satellite data processing and agricultural analytics products like Crop Monitoring and LandViewer.
  • Designed and maintained microservices architecture; built auth, payments and geospatial data processing services.
  • Cut infrastructure costs by roughly half and led a team of 10 developers, working closely with the CTO on technical strategy.

Side projects & teaching

  • Crypto trading bots, Telegram bots, CRM integrations, and freelance projects from small automation tools to third-party API integrations.
  • Taught Python to beginners and intermediate learners; mentored developers and helped them prepare for technical interviews.

Rocket Propulsion Engineer

until 2015
  • Started my career in rocket propulsion — complex engineering and R&D projects that shaped my analytical approach and attention to detail.
  • Transitioned to IT in 2015, teaching myself Python along the way.
